Mourihno has been allowed to create such an atmosphere of distrust and conspiracy that officials are afraid for their careers and in some instances (the ref that was forced to retire and go into protective custody after Mourinho accused him of cheating for an opposing team) their lives.
Not as close as the score indicates, Barcelona weathered the initial surge and then just dominated. Casillas was man of the match for Madrid, denying Iniesta a hat trick at least.
What the hell was Ronaldo doing? Once again he and Messi go head to head and Messi comes out in top by a longshot. Ronaldo killed Madrid…. selfish play, choked a half dozen opportunities. Player of the year? Not in a million.
Oh, and Ramos not being shown a second yellow or straight red for the double studs up tackle that Messi avoided by pogo sticking into the air was just sad. I saw an official who was worries about ramifications of ejecting a Madrid player regardless of validity.
That game alone should take Ronaldo out of the running for player of the year. Worst player on the pitch for either team.
