U.S. national team stars Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey have not shared a field together since the CONCACAF Gold Cup final, but Friday they are slated to do so — as opponents.

Everton and Fulham meet in a fourth-round FA Cup match at Goodison Park, and Fox Soccer Channel has picked up the 3 p.m. broadcast for American viewers to able to catch the showdown. Both players are in form for their respective clubs, with the on-loan Donovan having a hand in goals in three of his five games with the Toffees and Dempsey notching hat tricks in two of his last three games for Fulham.

The last time Donovan and Dempsey were opponents on the same field was May 6, 2006, when Dempsey's New England Revolution turned in a 4-0 beating of Donovan's Los Angeles Galaxy. They've yet to play together as teammates under U.S. national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann, but that could very well change next month, when the United States plays Italy in Genoa on Feb. 29.

As for Everton and Fulham, the two clubs last met in October, with Tim Howard and Everton getting the better of Dempsey's side in a 3-1 final, although the reigning U.S. Soccer Male Athlete of the Year did manage an assist on a Bryan Ruiz goal.
