Arsenal looks to keep their hot streak going today against Newcastle in a battle of teams with Champions League aspirations (4pm, ESPN2).

The Gunners will need to get over their UEFA Champions League loss to AC Milan in a hurry as the Magpies look to draw closer to both Arsenal and Chelsea, which both have a five-point lead on 6th-place Newcastle.

Robin van Persie and Demba Ba are among the top scorers in the Premier League and both should have plenty of chances in what is promising to be a wide-open encounter.

  2. Gutierrez was the 2nd most fouled player in the Premier League before today. Don’t know how many he’s got today, but he’s probably 1st now (he was 2 behind). Dempsey was 4th.

  3. Great game to watch. I see it slowing down soon because the pace is crazy at this point but for now its a joy to see two teams going at each other like this. Very impressed seeing the Newcastle players battling for every ball and lunging to break up passes. They aren’t always successful but every professional player should have the heart and desire to fight for the ball like that.

  4. I wish every game could be like this one thru 20 minutes. Wide-open, both teams attacking, and 2 great goals. Nothing better than a game where both teams are playing good soccer.
