Kamara’s late winner lifts Sporting KC past FCD

Kei Kamara looked like he might be the player left facing the blame for Sporting Kansas City not keeping their record perfect as Sunday night's match against FC Dallas wound down to a close, but a brilliant sequence and clutch finished changed all that.

Kamara finished off an outstanding passing sequence to deliver the game-winning goal in Sporting KC's 2-1 victory against FC Dallas at Livestrong Sporting Park on Sunday. The goal came after Kamara had a penalty kick saved by Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman.

FC Dallas opened the scoring courtesy of a Ricardo Villar free kick, but Sporting KC responded with an Aurelien Collin header goal to tie things up. Kamara had a chance for the winner when Dallas gave up a penalty in the 50th minute, but Hartman stepped up and made an impressive diving save to deny the PK attempt.

Kamara found redemption in the 88th minute, capping a passing sequence finished off by Graham Zusi and Chance Myers to give Sporting KC their third victory of the season.
