The New York Red Bulls will look to keep the momentum going from last week's resounding 4-1 win against Colorado Rapids by beating the expansion Montreal Impact at Red Bull Arena today.
Thierry Henry and Kenny Cooper are coming off two-goal performances, and should have a chance for similar success against a shaky Montreal defense that has looked vulnerable on the road this year.
The Red Bulls defense will also look for the team's first shutout of the season as rookie Ryan Meara leads the defense, which looked outstanding with Wilman Conde in the lineup.

he accidentally got ball when he roped Dax up. penal, penal, penallllll
Brutal call on the penalty to end the half. Seemed to take Montreal out of the game a little. Too many mistakes for the Impact defence in the second half. A deserved victory by NYRB.
But that penalty call… just brutal. That was textbook tackling. It is crap like this that gives MLS haters all the fuel they need.
Yep. And look how much better they play without him. The team’s plus/minus with him playing must be around a -10 while without him, it is probably around a +10.
Whatever…..Eric LIchaj scored in loss vs Chelsea….that’s the highlight of today!
Thierry Henri is unstoppable!!! Cooper looks rejuvented! Anyone know what the deal is with Wenger? Why doesn’t he start?
Both Ballouchy and McCarty have extraordinary skill on the ball??? Really Shep? Really? I do not think that word means what you think it does. Take out the “extra” part of that statement and I might agree with you.
is
A bizarro universe, that it.
We have been transported to a magical universe where Dax McCarty and Mehdi Ballouchy both make positive plays leading to scoring chances and goals.
This is not a display of professional soccer by RB. Going to take a nap.
Marquez is horrible…gives away the ball so much it’s unbelievable
