The last time Everton faced off against Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby, Liverpool came out victorious despite Tim Howard's valiant effort in goal.
The Toffees will be hoping for more of the same from Howard as they attempt to exact revenge against their rival in their final match-up of the season.
Everton visits Liverpool on Tuesday looking to erase the memories of their last meeting when a controversial red card given to the Toffees helped pave the way for Liverpool's 2-0 triumph. One thing playing in Everton's favor is Liverpool's recent poor run of form in the Premiership in which they have lost their last three games by a combined score of 5-2.
Rounding out Tuesday's trifecta of quality matches are the second legs of the Champions League Round of 16 fixtures between Inter Milan-Marseille and Bayern Munich-FC Basel. Inter will be playing at home in the San Siro aiming to erase a 1-0 deficit on aggregate, while Bayern Munich will try to do the same at Allianz Arena. Failure to do that for either team will result in elimination from the competition and heavy scrutiny from media and fans.
