Chivas USA's impeccable road record remains in tact and Toronto FC's misery continues.
A first-half goal from midfielder Oswaldo Minda saw Chivas USA win their third road game of the season, as they recorded a 1-0 win over Toronto FC at BMO Field on Saturday afternoon to improve to 3-3 on the year.
For Toronto, the result marked a fifth consecutive defeat to start the season, the worst start in club history, and raised questions about head coach Aron Winter's future with the club.
Toronto FC deployed an attack-minded lineup to start the game and almost scored in the opening minutes, but Joao Plata saw a chance go begging after Danny Koevermans fed him with a pass.
That would come back to haunt the hosts, as Minda scored his first MLS goal in the 31st minute. A corner kick sent in from the right side from Miller Bolanos found Minda, who had jumped in front of Ryan Johnson to head the ball low and into the back of the net.
Toronto attempted to find an equalizer and grab its first point of the season, but four saves from Dan Kennedy helped Chivas USA leave with the three points.

Soccer is a team sport, not a one man show. That perception and delusional mindset of a one man makes the difference of a poor soccer club. Too many examples in the world to name of team efforts bring success.
Maybe he gets back and they get a tie or something. Maybe they score a few more goals and only lose by 1 goal every game. It isn’t like they can get much worse when Frings come back.

Frings has shown he was a great find/fit for Toronto and the MLS. He still brings loads to the table. When Frings gets back, Toronto will show continued improvement.
I don’t. They went further than any MLS team in CCL.
Frings is a key player for them. They are going to struggle with him out. Cann looked pretty good in his return to to the lineup.
I could careless about TFC. But man I really feel for their fans. They have been steadfast in their support. They deserve soooo much more from the FO.
