CONCACAF will crown its club champion tonight in Torreon, Mexico, and after a 2-0 victory in the first leg, Monterrey has to be liking its chances to finish off its back-to-back title run in their second leg against Santos Laguna (8 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel/Telefutura).

So why should Santos Laguna feel confident? For starters, Santos have averaged six goals in their last two home games in the CCL, eliminating both the Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC after first legs on the road didn't go entirely in their favor. Santos also sit in first place in Mexico after a thorough 3-0 beating of Tigres UANL in a high-profile match over the weekend. Monterrey, meanwhile, are going to be without the tournament's leading scorer, Humberto Suazo, who is suspended for the match with card accumulation, and their defense could be at less than full strength after an injury over the weekend to centerback Hiram Mier. 

That leaves the door open for the likes of Mexican striker Oribe Peralta, who was suspended for the first leg, and American forward Herculez Gomez to not only overtake Suazo for the CCL golden boot but to also help overturn a two-goal deficit and seal a place at December's FIFA Club World Cup.
