Mexico, Honduras to meet in final after securing Olympic berths

When Mexico and Honduras square off on Monday in the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying final, there will be little to play for other than bragging rights.

Both teams will represent CONCACAF in this summer's Olympics after securing berths to the competition in London this past Saturday. Honduras defeated El Salvador 3-2 in extratime in the first semifinals match, while Mexico topped Canada, 3-1, in regulation.

Now, Mexico and Honduras will meet at Livestrong Sporting Park on Monday night to close out a tournament that has had its share of surprises. Honduras will look to avenge a 3-0 loss to Mexico in group play, while El Tri will try and finish the tournament undefeated.

Possible roster spots and pride may be up for grabs, but no one is likely to get be too upset with the result. Not after advancing to the Summer Gamers this past weekend.
