Herculez Gomez and Santos Laguna have a two-goal hill to climb in Torreon, Mexico, when they take on Monterrey with the CONCACAF Champions League title on the line (8 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel/Telefutura).
Monterrey will try to defend their 2-0 lead after the first leg and finish off their second consecutive run to the CCL title, but in order to do so they'll have to fend off an explosive Santos Laguna team in a brutal place to play for opponents all while playing without their suspended star striker Humberto Suazo.
In MLS, Real Salt Lake will aim to exorcise their past demons in Frisco, Texas, when they tangle with Western Conference foe FC Dallas (8:30 p.m., MLS Live/Direct Kick). Both teams are shorthanded for the match, as starters Jamison Olave and Fabian Espindola are out suspended for RSL while star striker Blas Perez is suspended for FCD.
