Reggie Lambe gave Toronto FC fans a brief glimmer of home on Saturday, scoring two goals four minutes apart to erase a first-minute goal from Chicago's Dominic Oduro.
Then the TFC defense collapsed.
The Fire scored two unanswered goals, including a game-winning tally from Patrick Nyarko, to give the Fire a 3-2 victory at BMO Field on Saturday.
The loss dropped Toronto to 0-6, tied for the worst start in MLS history.
Chicago jumped all over Toronto when Nyarko converted an early TFC turnover into a scoring chance that Oduro put away just 25 seconds into the match.
Lambe responded with two goals just before halftime to give Toronto hope, but that hope lasted a minute as Fire defender Gonzalo Segares equalized before the break.
The win improves Chicago's record to 2-1-2.

this is becoming a classic rivalry. i like it.
This one would have been at least tied if Koevermanns was in there.
Anibaba was fantastic for the Fire.
Did you watch the game? TFC was class, but just outclassed.
If TFC is the worst MLS team, MLS is in good shape.
Toronto was played great. Chicago is a top tier team this season. TFC had the pressure on all second half. De Guzman does need to go though.

It’s been 4 years since my last trip to Toronto with S8. I miss those times. A great city to visit and to point out to the locals that Chicago is still playing hockey.
I met great people up there but still have issues with their hooligan wannabe’s (perpaps this element is no longer there) and love to see TFC struggle.

Does ayne remember back when Toronto first came into the league & they and their fans were going to show us how it’s done with “proper footy cultuire?”
So laughable.
But wait… TFC was in the semis of the CONCACAF Champions League… they are really good! They’re going to make a real run to the playoffs this year – for the first time EVER. Really.

Frings was supposed to shore up the defense but instead he gifted Chicago the 5th fastest goal in MLS history. Hard to see how it can go up from here. Good luck TFC – join the NYRB as a national “flagship” team that can’t play its way out of a paper bag.

Grazzini and Pappa are so dynamic. Oduro and Nyarko looked better at finishing than I expected. Felt so bad for TFC fans. Deserve better.
