The New England Revolution made some noise this weekend, as they did not just beat the Los Angeles Galaxy. They did so in convincing fashion, which earned them the SBI MLS Team of the Week award.
Playing without the injured Benny Feilhaber, the Revolution went into the Home Depot Center and defeated a Landon Donovan-less Los Angeles Galaxy, 3-1. Chris Tierney, rookie Kelyn Rowe and Saer Sene all scored to put New England up 3-0 before a late goal from the hosts.
The Revolution, which are now 2-2 this season after winning their second consecutive game, edged out the New York Red Bulls, Real Salt Lake and D.C. United for this week's honors.
