Brek Shea picked a good time to come out of his early-season slump.
Shea scored his first goal of the season on an 88th-minute effort that saw FC Dallas complete their comeback to top the Montreal Impact, 2-1, at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, Texas on Saturday night. The result improved FC Dallas to 3-2-1 while it dropped Montreal to 1-5-1.
Shea scored on one of his trademark runs, getting on the end of a pass from Fabian Castillo before hitting an authoritative finish under Donovan Ricketts and into the back of the net.
The goal capped an FC Dallas rally that began with a 77th-minute goal from Blas Perez, who scored from close range after Bernardo Corradi converted a controversial penalty kick for the expansion Impact just after the hour mark.

For not running 100%, they definitely aren’t doing badly. Was a great atmosphere and one of the better matches, energy wise, I’ve been to in awhile.
Justice wasn’t done….John was bodychecked in the box from behind by Ferrari. Easy decision to call the PK. Ferrari was even holding his hands to his mouth, couldn’t have looked any more guilty. Ref swallowed his whistle anyway. Glad FCD kept fighting for victory though. they earned it.
LA&TFC were better, but not by much. The Revs were atrocious. Garber must do something, like force Kraft to sell (hey, it happened w/LA dodgers). It was funny though, to see Shea jump into 6 guys in the stands. In the past, he would’ve jumped into empty seats, but he should try to find a bigger audience patch to jump into next time. Amazing goal though. Shea should be doing that in Concacaf CL or for the national team
I have to give kudos to the front office for the improved atmosphere and attendance at games this year. I saw lot’s of knowledgeable and committed fans…where have they been? Too bad the team isn’t really running 100%

Blas Perez with a hand in EVERY goal thus far in 2012. Great signing for FCD and great addition to this league.
Reffing was atrocious for the games entirety but good to see Fcd getting some good crowds out in frisco. Hopefully we’ve heard the last of fcd’s attendance woes. Over 16k was better than any crowd last night minus kc I believe. Go fcd go mls!
painful. when you only see about 2 minutes of highlights/action that include 3 glaring errors, one a mystifying PK…. that’s a bad day at the office.
