Timbers acquire Rincon on loan

The Portland Timbers are making a habit of signing the sons of former Colombian internationals.

The Timbers announced Monday that they added 18-year-old forward Sebastian Rincon on loan for the 2012 season from Uruguay outfit Atletico Atenas. Rincon is the son of former Colombian national team forward Freddy Rincon, who played in three World Cups during his 18-year career.

The younger Rincon has been training with the Timbers since February and played in the club's MLS Reserve League game versus the San Jose Earthquakes on March 27.

He joins 20-year-old forward Jose Adolfo Valencia, the offspring of former striker Adolfo 'El Tren' Valencia, as sons of former Colombia internationals currently on Portland's roster.

What do you think of Portland signing Rincon? Do you see him making a splash in MLS? Which Colombian will have their son signed next by the Timbers?
