When FC Dallas started Sunday's match against the Colorado Rapids, they were already facing the prospect of trying to win without Brek Shea, sidelined by turf toe. Two red cards later, Dallas' task went from difficult to impossible.

First-half red cards to Daniel Hernandez and Blas Perez gave the visiting Rapids a two-man edge. They eventually took advantage in the second half, with Brian Mullan setting up goals by Jaime Castrillon and Martin Rivero to give the Rapids a 2-0 victory in Frisco, Texas.

Referee Mark Geiger sent off Hernandez first when he issued the Dallas player-coach a second yellow card for a foul on Rivero, and just two minutes later issued red to Perez for a challenge on Rapids defender Drew Moor.

FC Dallas tried to hold off the Rapids, but Mullan helped Colorado break through with a perfect cross that Castrillon headed home in the 61st minute. Mullan added a second assist in the 74th when he found Rivero to make it 2-0.

What did you think of the match? Agree with the two red cards FC Dallas received? Worried about Brek Shea's status for the national team? Think the Rapids are ready to make a move up the West standings?
