Borussia Dortmund have already clinched their second German Bundesliga title in a row, but they champs can add the DFB Pokal title to their trophy hall today with a win against UEFA Champions League Final-bound Bayern Munich.
With the German regular season finished and English Premier League poised for a full Sunday of matches, there aren't as many soccer viewing options today as usual on a weekend, but there are still several matches with major implications. In Mexico, Monterrey and Club America play the second leg of their Mexican Clausura Playoff semifinal. Monterrey is the favorite to advance, where they would meet the winner of the Santos Laguna-Tigres semifinal.
The Spanish Premier League has already crowned Real Madrid as champion but there are matches on the schedule today, with Valencia taking on Real Sociedad, and Pep Guardiola coaching his final league match for Barcelona against Real Betis.

I feel for you. This is why I sort of like following the game from the safe distance of the Atlantic Ocean….
Interesting point. I tend to think that as a season shakes out, each team will reorient itself to its goals.
For instance, if Chelsea knows early that they blew the title race, they might tweak lineups in weeks where they are both league games and European games to have the stronger lineup on the field for the latter games.

Interesting that neither Champions League finalist has neither won their domestic league nor their league cup. Perhaps the champions league is more about a big squad and lots of money than truly having the best 11. Also, did Terrence Boyd play in any cup games and will he receive a medal?
Prediction: Galaxy will come out of their scoring slump and win by at least two goals. Then again, I was predicting a 4-1 galaxy victory over the red bulls . . .

I haven’t followed much of the Bundesliga this year, but I am super impressed by Dortmund. I know see why all the top clubs seem to be linked with Kagawa, he just makes the defense-opening passes look too easy and simple.
Also, is he just having the worst game of his life, or is Badstuber really that bad? I can’t tell if it’s Dortmunds offense making him look so bad, or if he really is that bad.
