With the European Championships coming up fast on the horizon, some of the tournament's favorites will be in action today fine-tuning their teams ahead of the summer's biggest event.

Spain takes on Serbia today in what shoul be an entertaining encounter. The Spanish will be without their Barcelona-based stars (as well as their Athletic Bilbao contingent), with both clubs having just played in the Copa Del Rey Final, but should still have plenty of firepower on display. The Netherlands are also in action today, going up against Bulgaria.

MLS features a loaded slate of games as well, with Portland and Vancouver renewing their Cascadian rivalry, while the Philadelphia Union look to drop Toronto FC to 0-10. The match of the day features red-hot San Jose taking off struggling Sporting Kansas City, which comes into the day winless in their past four matches.

Most American fans will be focused on tonight's USA-Scotland friendly, and SBI will have that covered in detail, complete with our usual Match Night Commentary.

For now, if you will be watching today's action, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below (Today's TV Schedule is after the jump):

  1. TFC support was amazing despite their awful start and lackluster opponent. They are not that bad. MLS is becoming more and more competitive each year. Look at LA.

  2. You know I don’t know, that’s a good question. I feel like PKs are different given their circumstance. I can’t remember.

  3. What happen to the crowd at halftime @ the Galaxy/Dynamo game? I get that it was somewhere in the 90’s and humid, but it looks like half the crowd had left! Soccer plays TWO 45 minute halves…

  4. I’d much rather see a talent like Cardozo. Why trade for Lopes if you only give him 5 minutes? Why sign a player like Marcelo if you leave him on the bench.

    Wake up, Arena

  5. That makes sense…so I guess that applies to PK’s as well? If I hit the post without the keeper touching it I can’t touch it next?

  6. Brian Jordan is LA’s replacement for Donovan??? This guy should be in USL.

Arena has done a terrible job of developing depth. All the minutes go to Barrett, Noonan, Christman…etc

  7. Scotland team to face the USA (announced a few hrs ago): McGregor; Bardsley, Caldwell, Webster, Mulgrew; Brown, Bannan, McArthur, Phillips, Maloney; Miller

  9. So Bruin is in on goal, 1 v 1 with the keeper, ball a few yards in front of him… and Gaul slides in from behind, several yards from the ball, misses Bruin on the initial tackle and then kicks out at him to take him down, and he’s not ejected.

The refereeing in this league is so freaking bushleague it’s embarrassing to watch.

  10. What the hell is that??!

Gaul should have been ejected TWICE already. What a pathetic display from the official who is clearly too afraid to follow the law of the game.
