With CONCACAF World Cup qualifying just around the corner, Mexico will be heading toward qualifying trying to recapture the form that led them to a CONCACAF Gold Cup last summer.

'El Tri' will look to get rolling today with a win against Wales in one of two key international matches on the TV schedule today. France is heading toward the Euros as one of the popular darkhorse picks, and their match-up with Iceland could give us a glimpse of that quality.

Today also features a quality MLS match-up, as the red-hot San jose Earthquakes try to keep Sporting Kansas City riding a winless slide. KC hasn't recorded just one point from four matches, but will be at Livestrong Sporting Park, where they are tough to beat.

  1. yes, they’re looking good. We beat them in a closed-door scrimmage the other day, but we don’t look up for it yet tonight. Passing leaves a lot to be desired.

  2. WNT vs China – China looking good! More asian one touch flair, high field intense defending, and great skills. I’m impressed, I bet Pia is too. WNT will have to pick it up to beat them

  3. For the same reason Timothy Chandler is mentioned as a “possible German player”.

    Neither are officially cap-tied.

  4. I hate when teams use confetti and streamers. Its some fake semi pro sh!t thats used by the same people who think banging a drum adds to the “atmosphere”. No self respecting league does this sh!t let alone allows it to cover the field

  5. So Adam Henley is listed on the bench for Wales. I’m not sure why he is even mentioned as a possible US player at this point.

  6. That whole Univision crew is terrible. I could call them clowns but it wouldn’t be fair to circus performers.

  7. Gotta love that party that goes down on Univision before every Mexican game. Unnecessary screaming? Check. Unnecessary hot chicks? Check. Party in the streets? Check.

It’s going down in New Jersey right now.

  8. Another awesome day of football. I can’t wait to see El Tri take on Wales; Les Bleus take on Iceland, and US Womans Team take on China.I may have a football overload this summer.

  9. I just looked at the roster of 18 named yesterday and there are no new mids, yet again. So I guess we’re not missing much. Same players playing an opponent we’ve played recently. I’m tired of our center mids and would like to see someone new there.

Still would be nice to have something to watch, though.

  10. So…USWNT sell out a stadium and there is no other way to watch the game? What else am I going to watch tonight? It’s a shame.
