Jonathan Bornstein's move to Tigres UANL has not panned out as he would have hoped, but he'll get a second chance to prove his worth in the Mexican Primera with another club.

Bornstein has been loaned by Tigres UANL to Atlante, where he'll eye the playing time that he never consistently received with the 2011-12 Mexican apertura champions.

At Tigres, Bornstein, who was shifted from left back to a midfield role, played sparingly, appearing in just seven league matches and two Copa Libertadores matches after leaving Chivas USA following the 2010 MLS season. While the move offers Bornstein a new lease on his playing life, it also prevents him from potentially participating in the CONCACAF Champions League. Tigres were placed into Group 6 for the upcoming tournament with Alajuelense and Real Esteli in Tuesday's draw.
