The Houston Dynamo have the newest soccer-specific stadium in MLS, and they might soon have the newest Designated Player as well.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Dynamo are close to signing Honduran national team attacker Oscar Boniek Garcia to a DP deal. Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear has reportedly been keen on acquring Boniek Garcia since last year, and the 27-year-old would add an attacking option on the right side of Houston's midfield.

Boniek Garcia, who has been capped by Honduras 62 times since 2005, would join the Dynamo on a transfer from Honduran club Olimpia if signed. He'd become the second Designated Player in Houston's history after Mexican forward Luis Angel Landin, who is no longer with the club.

What do you think of the Dynamo possibly signing Boniek Garcia? Do you see him faring well in MLS?
