  1. somewhat along the line with certain comedians, such as steven martin, who are, in private, rather composed and reticent

  2. MB is an amazingly sophisticated player with a tremendous upside. It definitely shows when he teams up with the US elite players on the national team. Thank God he or no one else took that nepotism BS seriously…

But Michael — you look like an urbane & worldly guy. Please make sure future videos with your wife include her speaking — I’m sure she has interesting things to say!!

  4. That was a seriously uncomfortable video to watch, from the distaff side of things. I’ll give Mrs. Mike a pass, since she’s so young, but jeez, I couldn’t help wondering if she’s homesick. Shy, apparently nonverbal, and stranded in a foreign city without much to do except keep the home fires burning and the dog fed. Oh well, maybe they’ll be back in England soon.

    Italian

But unless he goes to Spain or France that’s probably the last one.
He will probably spend the rest of his career between Italy, Germany, England, and the US. Maybe he will pick up Portuguese and Russian at the next two World Cups, though.

  6. First of all, Borissia M’gladbach, which is in Germany not Holland.

Second of all, some American poster on BigSoccer said he was in a bar in Germany and a Gladbach fan told him that’s what happened (MB’s girlfriend and the team’s backup goalkeeper).

Are we really accepting fourth hand bar gossip as fact now? If so I’ve got to remember to start some real doozies from now on, just to see which corners of the Internet will regurgitate them.

  7. A+. Classy player, clearly enjoying his time in Italy with his wife. Bradley’s “man” card is unquestionable.

  8. Loved the piece. But I seriously haven to question Bradley’s man card with that “dog”. Come on, Mike, fight the wifey and get a real dog instead of a toy that squeaks!

  9. All of that. I was pretty impressed by how at ease he seems in Italian after just a year there. It’s tougher than I thought to learn a language even if you’re living in another country, if you’re living with someone who speaks your native language; you have to force yourself to really get immersed. Bravo MB90 for making the effort and succeeding, and I still can’t get over the dog. 🙂

  10. Glad someone else thought of this — THAT is Bradley’s dog?

Though I guess a guy who plays like that gets to have whatever dog he wants.

  11. Her name is Amanda. Seems a rather American name. I agree with all . . . very attractive. His italian is very impressive. He’s not just conversant. He’s basically fluent. He’s a model for all young Americans that choose to play abroad. He approaches a new culture with openness, respect and humility. His brains are a huge part of what makes him so successful.

  12. It seems MB got himself a little hot Latin girl! If I have to take a guess, I bet she’s American with some Latin roots.

I for one would love an interview with all the wifes of the USMNT 23 roster. I know Clint and Paco’s wifes are smoking hot. Anyone else find a hottie within the USMNT?

  13. He’s no Pirlo, but did any of you catch some of his perfectly weighted, lofted passes over the top of opponents the past two matches?

  14. How many of you pictured MB90 with this dog? Haha, anyway… Great to see our future captain growing into a distinguished gentlemen.

  16. He only got the girl and the job because of his enormous melon. He only got the giant melon because of his dad. Nepotism…or genetics, but I’m sticking with nepotism.

  17. Smart dude. I agree with other’s I think he will take the armband when Boca’s days are done.

Bradley will continue to get better and better. He will more than likely be playing in a different club jersey next season.

Inter Milan and Palermo have already approached Bradley’s agent and Chievo. Other teams that are in the fray are: Napoli, Fiorentina, and Roma.

  18. He only got a wife that hot because his dad was coach! Oh wait, that had nothing to do with it.

I got to meet Michael in Verona. Super nice dude and more than happy to take a bit of time to chat with US fans.

  19. Considering Braldey has been all over Europe, the orgin of his wife could be unknown. And she still hasn’t said a word (and hence, can not decipher if there is an accent. In conclusion, it was a fair question. You weiner

  20. Nice to see MB developing some Mediterranean mojo. I think it’s manifesting itself on the field in his increasingly skillful passing in the final third.

  21. There is no reason for Timmy to be the captain, he’s already the oldest starter and a natural leader, plus a goalkeeper which is basically the same as being a captain. I think having a goalkeeper as captain is a waste, they already command the back line. D-mid is actually the perfect position for a captain to play, and Bradely has been growing into the natural leader there over the last three years now.

  22. I enjoyed this piece. It did not know much about MB and he always seems so serious. Looks like he is just a normal guy living the dream.
