MLS Match Night: Your Running Commentary

MLS Logo

Thierry Henry and Alessandro Nesta have done battle on the international stage many times, but they will meet for the first time in MLS play when Henry's New York Red Bulls take on Nesta's Montreal Impact.

Nesta will make his first MLS start for the Impact tonight, and he will be trying to slow down the dangerous forward tandem of Henry and Kenny Cooper. Montreal will be hoping Italian striker Marco DiVaio can match or surpass the output of the Red Bulls strikers.

In other Eastern Conference action, Sporting KC will look to snap their four-match scoreless drought at home against a tough Columbus Crew defense. The Crew are coming off a good 1-0 victory against D.C. United and will be a handful for KC to handle.

In MLS exhibition action, D.C. United is taking on French powerhouse Paris St. Germain in a World Football Challenge friendly.
