Zak Whitbread will be staying in England after all. Just not in the Premiership.

The free agent American centerback is reportedly set to sign with Championship club Leicester City, ending weeks of speculation as to where his future lied. Whitbread was released by Premiership side Norwich City earlier this summer after another injury-plagued season, and all indications point to him returning the England's second division.

The 28-year-old Whitbread played in the Championship just over a year ago when he helped Norwich City gain promotion into the Premiership. He started in 21 league matches for the Canaries last season, but injuries forced him in and out of the team's lineup and ultimately he was deemed expendable.

Leicester finished in ninth place in the Championship last season.

What do you think of Whitbread being on the verge of signing with Leicester City? Think he will do well there? Believe he can finally stay healthy?
