Mattocks, Cummings headline Jamaica roster for World Cup qualifiers vs. USA

Jamaica's lineup against the United States for the pair of World Cup qualifiers next month certainly won't be lacking speed.

Vancouver Whitecaps rookie Darren Mattocks and winger Dane Richards, and Colorado Rapids forward Omar Cummings were named to Jamaica's 24-man roster and will spearhead the attack for the Reggae Boyz in games in Kingston, Jamaica, on Sept. 7 and in Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 11. Other MLS players representing Jamaica include Montreal's Shavar Thomas, Toronto FC's Ryan Johnson and Dicoy Williams, Houston's Jermaine Taylor and JeVaughn Watson and Portland's Lovel Palmer.

The games will be the first between the two nations since last summer's CONCACAF Gold Cup, when the United States topped Jamaica in the quarterfinals 2-0 behind goals from Jermaine Jones and Clint Dempsey.
