A new option has presented itself in Mix Diskerud's quest to leave Stabaek for greener pastures.
Diskerud is training with Norwegian side Rosenborg, one of the country's most storied teams, this week as he eyes a move before the close of the summer transfer window at the end of the month. Rosenborg currently sits in third place in Norway, two points behind Josh Gatt's second-place Molde, and played in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League the last two seasons.
Diskerud returned to Stabaek after his six-month loan to Belgian club Gent expired on July 31, but he was not part of the club's loss to Brann on Monday, the team's sixth-straight defeat and one that keeps the club in dead last in Norway's top flight. Diskerud had trained with another Norwegian team, Sogndal, while reports from Norway suggested that current first-place team Stromsgodset was also interested in bringing him aboard.

DCU'S WOOLARD HAS CONCUSSION
One of D.C. United's unsung heroes this season is set for a spell on the sidelines.
Starting left back Daniel Woolard was diagnosed with a concussion after colliding with teammate Emiliano Dudar and exiting in the 63rd minute of D.C.'s 1-0 victory over the Columbus Crew Saturday night.
With fullback depth being thin for D.C., Chris Korb — starting in place of injured right back Robbie Russel — figures to be the best option to slide over from right to left, while Andy Najar, who has returned from Olympic duty, is a candidate to step in as a makeshift right back. Second-year defender Ethan White, who has been getting minutes on loan in USL Pro, is also available for Ben Olsen, who turned to English midfielder Lewis Neal in a pinch when Woolard went down.
SPAIN OLYMPIC COACH LET GO FROM U-21 POST
Spain's Olympic failure has cost coach Luis Milla his post at the helm of the country's European championship Under-21 squad.
Milla will not have his contract renewed when it expires, ending his tenure in the Spanish national team set-up. The 46-year-old Milla had been a youth national team coach for Spain since 2008 and guided Spain to the 2011 U-21 European championship; however, with Spain's Olympic team, a favorite to reach the gold medal game, failing to score a single goal in the group stage and crashing out unceremoniously, the Spanish federation elected to go in another direction. Current Spanish U-19 coach Julen Lopetugi will take over in the interim.
ROSENBERG SIGNS WITH WEST BROM
West Brom took a step toward improving its attacking corps by signing Swedish international striker Markus Rosenberg to a three-year deal.
Rosenberg, 29, was formerly with Werder Bremen and Racing Santander, and he was part of Sweden's Euro 2012 squad, starting one game and entering as a substitute in a second during the group stage. Rosenberg scored 10 goals for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga last season.
