The LA Galaxy dynamic duo of Landon Donovan and Juninho partnered up to help the Galaxy demolish Chivas USA last Sunday and their exploits made them easy selections to SBI MLS Best XI for Week 23.
Donovan's four assists helped him earn MLS Player of the Week honors, while Juninho fired in two goals to continue a strong run of form after starting the season in shaky fashion.
The crazy thing about the Galaxy's 4-0 romp is that it could have been something like 6-0 or 7-0 if not for the heroics of Chivas USA goalkeeper Dan Kennedy. It isn't often that a goalkeeper is honored for a match in which he gave up four goals, but anyone who watched Kennedy against the Galaxy knows just what a night he had to keep it from being even more embarrassing.
Donovan and Juninho joined three other tandems on this week's Best XI, including the Chicago Fire combo of Chris Rolfe and Arne Friedrich and the Sporting Kansas City tandem of Graham Zusi and Aurelien Collin.
Here is the rest of the SBI MLS Best XI for Week 23:
