Bayern Munich youth striker headlines U.S. U-18 Sept. training camp roster

U.S. Soccer Federation

Meet Julian Green, the latest German-American with a strong club pedigree to suit up for a U.S. youth national team.

Green, a Bayern Munich U-19 forward who was born in Tampa, Fla., and has represented Germany on the youth level, is among 20 players called in by coach Javier Perez for the U.S. Under-18 national team's training camp in the Netherlands from Sept. 6-17. The training camp includes a friendly against the Netherlands on Sept. 11 and other friendlies against U-18 sides from Feyenoord Rotterdam, Borussia Dortmund and Club Brugge.

In addition to Green, other first-timers with the U-18s include one-time Paris St-Germain academy midfielder and California native Piakai Henkel and Maryland native Jacori Hayes. MLS is represented by three Homegrown Players: Philadelphia's Zach Pfeffer, FC Dallas' Kellyn Acosta and Chivas USA's Marco Delgado.
