Dwayne De Rosario made history in MLS' Week 26, and he also made his way to SBI's MLS Best XI.
De Rosario's 100th career goal was the highlight of his week, which included two quality performances for D.C. United against New York and Real Salt Lake. He was also denied his 101th career goal on a couple of occasions by Real Salt Lake and U.S. national team goalkeeper Nick Rimando, who makes the Best XI cut this week as well.
Columbus' Federico Higuain continued what is quickly becoming the norm for him with another Player of the Week display that included four assists in two wins, while wingers Patrick Nyarko and Sal Zizzo were integral parts of victories for Chicago and Portland, respectively.
Defenders got into the scoring act as well, as Ramiro Corrales' first two goals of his season both came off set pieces to lift the San Jose Earthquakes to a rout of Chivas, while Wilman Conde augmented his solid showing at left back for the Red Bulls against D.C. with a last-minute equalizer.
Here is this week's SBI MLS Best XI:

shalrie joseph played CDM and his team coughed up 4 goals… not team of the week material… he’s past it
He scored a great goal on the free kick, but did not have a very good game overall by his standards….
+1
That little burst of speed he showed right before his assist made my day.
no becks?
I’d give Zak an honorable mention, just for getting back on the field. It sure was great to see him.
