MLS releases updated playoff schedule

The 2012 MLS playoffs schedule is set.

No, we don’t know all of the teams that will be playing in the conference semifinals but we do know what the schedule will be after MLS released an updated list of games. The list includes the times and dates for most of the matches in the postseason, so it might be a good idea to start marking your calendars.

It is all pretty straightforward, with the lone exception coming in the Western Conference semifinals series involving the San Jose Earthquakes. The times for both legs of that series is dependent upon who the Earthquakes face.

Here is the updated MLS playoffs schedule (all times Eastern):

KNOCKOUT ROUND

10/31 Houston Dynamo at Chicago Fire (9pm, ESPN2 & ESPN Deportes)

11/1 Vancouver Whitecaps at Los Angeles Galaxy (10:30pm, NBC & TSN)

EASTERN CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS

11/3 D.C. United at New York Red Bulls (8pm, NBCSN)

11/4 Sporting Kansas City at Chicago Fire/Houston Dynamo (3:30pm, NBC)

11/7 New York Red Bulls at D.C. United (8 pm, NBCSN)

11/7 Chicago Fire/Houston Dynamo at Sporting Kansas City (9pm, MLS Live & Direct Kick)

WESTERN CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS

11/2 Real Salt Lake at Seattle Sounders (10pm, NBCSN)

11/4 San Jose Earthquakes at Los Angeles Galaxy (9pm, ESPN & ESPN Deportes)
