UEFA Champions League: Manchester City-Borussia Dortmund headlines Wednesday’s group stage action

It's an important day for Manchester City, which need three points at home against Borussia Dortmund (2:45 p.m. ET, Fox Soccer Channel) in Group D action of the UEFA Champions League to get back into position to advance. 

Man City opened the group stage last month with a 3-2 loss to Real Madrid, which is also in action Wednesday in Amsterdam against Ajax.  Real Madrid and Dortmund lead Group D with three points each from wins. 

In other matches,the two leaders of Group A, Paris-Saint Germain and FC Porto, face off in Portugal. Dinamo Zagreb is at Dynamo Kiev, also in Group A. 

AC Milan open the day's play in Russia against Zenit St. Petersburg (noon, Fox Soccer Channel) in a matchup of two teams in the lower end of Group C. Then surprising Malaga, the group leader, is at Anderlecht, which is tied with AC Milan for second place in the group with one point. 

Arsenal look to keep pace atop the Group B standings with a home match against Olympiacos. The other leader in the group is Schalke 04, which host Montpellier.
