If Geoff Cameron and Stoke City are going to advance out of the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend, they will need to avoid a repeat performance of their first match of the new year.
Stoke City and Manchester City are set to do battle at Britannia Stadium on Saturday, and the Potters will be aiming to eliminate the Premiership heavyweights while avenging the 3-0 loss they suffered back on Jan. 1. Cameron and the rest of the Potters will need to be at their best in order to have a shot at advancing, as Manchester City are riding a four-game winning streak in which they have not conceded a goal.
Another intriguing match that American fans will want to keep an eye on is Tottenham’s clash with Leeds United in the FA Cup on Sunday. Clint Dempsey has been in good form in recent weeks, and he will try to build on last weekend’s goal-scoring performance versus Manchester United.
If those two games are not enough to satisfy for your soccer cravings, you will have a plethora of other options to choose from. There are Africa Cup of Nations matches, including Saturday afternoon’s Ivory Coast-Tunisia match-up, as well as an intriguing Liga MX duel between DaMarcus Beasley’s Puebla and Cruz Azul on Saturday evening.
