Helsingborg continued their strong run of form with a big win on Saturday and Alejandro Bedoya was a big reason for that.

A day after being named to the U.S. Men’s National Team’s provisional roster for the 2013 Gold Cup, Bedoya helped Allsvenskan leaders Helsingborg post a 3-0 victory over Atvidaberg. Bedoya netted the winner in the 15th minute with yet another left-footed finish and also set up the final goal with a low cross in the second half.

Bedoya, who last scored in a 1-0 win vs. Syrianska FC on May 13, now has six goals across all competitions this season and four in league play.

    • “If he played in Mexico or Germany he would be a lock.”

Well, if he was scoring goals and setting up assists in a league like Germany, I imagine he would.

      Instead, he’s playing in Sweden.

Bedoya is another one of those players that hasn’t made the most of his chances while called up, under either manager. If he wants to get his name in the conversation, he needs this club form to carry over and actually make the final roster cut.
