Fredy Montero’s proposed move to Sporting Club de Portugal could be completed as early as Sunday.
According to reports in Portugal, Montero’s agent is aiming to complete the deal by the end of the weekend, with the Lisbon club introducing the Colombian forward early next week. The latest report has Sporting paying €3 million ($3.85 million) in transfer fees to the Seattle Sounders for Montero’s services.
In what was likely Montero’s final match at his current club Millonarios, the on-loan striker scored his third goal in the last two games as his side took down Once Caldas on Thursday.
