After spending much of the past year in Sweden, Alejandro Bedoya has apparently found a new club to call home and it is in the Netherlands.

According to a Swedish report, Bedoya is set to join Eredivisie club FC Twente after having recently seen his contract with Allsvenskan outfit Helsingborg IF expire. Bedoya has reportedly agreed to terms with the Twente but has yet to sign the deal that would make the move to the Dutch club official.

The 26-year-old midfielder also reportedly received interest from SC Heerenveen but ultimately chose Twente, who finished in sixth place last season and are no strangers to Americans after having had Oguchi Onyewu on loan during the latter half of the 2010-11 campaign.

Bedoya demonstrated excellent form during the final few months of a near year-long stay with Helsingborg, scoring seven goals across all competitions since March. In total, Bedoya netted 10 times during a stint with Helsingborg that began with an initial five-month contract last summer after he departed financially-troubled Rangers.

Bedoya is currently with the U.S. Men’s National Team preparing for a friendly against Guatemala on Friday before kicking off the Americans’ 2013 Gold Cup campaign with Belize next Tuesday.
