New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill and Seattle Sounders rookie DeAndre Yedlin were chosen by MLS Commissioner Don Garber to be part of the MLS All-Star Game roster, while All-Star coach Peter Vermes passed on selecting Landon Donovan and Jack McInerney.

Those will serve as the headlines surrounding the Gameday Roster for the MLS All-Star Game, which was released on Tuesday. Vermes selected all 11 players named to the Fan All-Star XI, and added seven players to the group, including Sporting KC’s Aurelien Collin and Vancouver Whitecaps forward Camilo Sanvezzo.

Garber used his two Commissioner’s picks to select Cahill and Yedlin, who becomes the first rookie to be named to the MLS All-Star match day roster since Michael Parkhurst in 2005.

Among the snubs were Philadelphia Union forward Jack McInerney, New England Revolution defender Jose Goncalves, and Los Angeles Galaxy and USMNT star Landon Donovan, who failed to make the MLS All-Star Game for the first time since coming to MLS in 2002, snapping a streak of 12 straight All-Star Game appearances.

Here is the full 2013 MLS All-Star Game gameday roster:
