The Colorado Rapids are coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season, and tonight they have a chance to add another quality scalp to their list of conquests when they take on traditional 4th of July opponent New York Red Bulls (9:30pm, Direct Kick).

The Rapids toppled East-leading Montreal last week, and will look to beat the Red Bulls, currently 2nd in the East, tonight. New York has a history of struggling in Colorado, with their last win there coming in 2007.

In Texas, FC Dallas will look to keep Chivas USA’s winless ways going when the Goats visit Frisco. Blas Perez salvaged a road point for FCD with a stoppage time equalizer last weekend, and will look to punish a Chivas USA defense that still won’t have newly-signed Carlos Bocanegra.

The third and final match on the 4th of July schedule features the Los Angeles Galaxy taking on the Columbus Crew. The Galaxy suffered a heart-breaking loss to San Jose last weekend, and Robbie Keane will look to make up for the absence of Landon Donovan, who is with the U.S. Gold Cup team. The Crew have had their share of struggles lately, but they remain a dangerous team, with Federico Higuain back to his goal-producing ways.

If you will be watching tonight’s matches, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.
