Galaxy recall duo from Strikers, loan them to RailHawks

Bryan Gaul

By FRANCO PANIZO

In one of the stranger transactions of the year, the LA Galaxy have recalled a pair of players who were loaned out to an NASL team only to ship them to another one.

The Galaxy announced on Thursday afternoon that they have recalled defender Bryan Gaul and midfielder Kenney Walker from the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers and loaned them to the Carolina RailHawks for the remainder of the season. The move comes less than a month after LA decided to ship the duo to Ft. Lauderdale, but no explanation has been given as to why the change of heart.

A possible explanation could be the duo’s lack of playing time with the Strikers, as only Walker saw the field and he played in just one game.

Walker and Gaul will be eligible to make their debut for the first-place RailHawks this weekend when the club hosts Minnesota United.
