After missing the Columbus Crew’s defeat last Saturday due to injury, Federico Higuain showed his side just how important he is to their success.
Playing on the road and down 1-0 at halftime to the Montreal Impact, Higuain galvanized the Crew to a stunning 2-1 victory, assisting on both goals. Higuain’s performance at Stade Saputo was enough to be named SBI MLS Player of the Week.
Higuain beat out Vicente Sanchez, Chad Marshall, and Ricardo Clark for this week’s honors.
What did you think of Higuain’s performance? Which player stood out to you in MLS Week 29?

Jameson Olave played one of the best games for a central defender in recent memory, didn’t score like Marshall but he deserves a mention
I want to see the Crew get Montreal in the first round of the playoffs!
Good choice. He wasn’t dominant, and he wasn’t expected to start due to injury. But he provided that little bit of class when his team needed it.
