Soccer Tuesday: Your Running Commentary

Barcelona look to continue their unbeaten run to the start of the 2013/2014 season in all competitions with a match at home against Real Sociedad, one of a number of matches across Europe on Tuesday.

Under Gerardo Martino, the side is playing more direct, as shown by the fact that they lost the possession battle in last Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano for the first time in more than 300 matches. A win against Sociedad would make it six straight wins in La Liga, which is one away from the club record to start a season.

Also in action on Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund takes on 1860 Munich in the German Cup, Atletico Madrid host Osasuna in La Liga, and both Chelsea and Manchester City are in action in the Capital One Cup in England.

In the evening, Copa MX and CONCACAF Champions League take center stage, with Morelia hosting Chivas in the former and the Montreal Impact welcoming Heredia to Stade Saputo in the latter.
