With a number of starters missing from both teams due to suspension, injuries, and international call-ups, the lone meeting between the Los Angeles Galaxy and Montreal Impact (10:30pm, MLS Live) this season will see a number of youngsters given a chance to shine.

Jose Villarreal, Jack McBean, and Gyasi Zardes all start for the Galaxy as Landon Donovan, Omar Gonzalez, Jaime Penedo, and Robbie Keane (on the bench) miss out. On the other side at the StubHub Center on Wednesday evening, the Impact see all five of their homegrown signings in the 18-man game day roster, with league leading goal scorer Marco Di Vaio leading the front line alongside former No. 1 pick Andrew Wenger, though central defense duo Matteo Ferrari and Alessandro Nesta miss out.

A game that two weeks ago may not have had much meaning suddenly is a must-win for both squads. Each team sits in fourth place in their respective conferences and needs to win to keep up with the pack in a tight playoff race at the end of the 2013 MLS season.
