When the U.S. Women’s National Team reconvene later this month, they will do so with a squad that is close to or at full-strength.
U.S. head coach Tom Sermanni has named a 25-player roster for an upcoming camp that will be held from Oct. 15-30 and star players Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach and Hope Solo are among those selected. Others summoned by Sermanni include Rachel Buehler, Carli Lloyd, Megan Rapinoe and Sydney Leroux.
Due to unspecified reasons, some players will be in and out of the camp. No word yet as to which players will do that.
The 16-day camp includes one friendly against Australia and two against New Zealand. The Americans host Australia on Oct. 20 in San Antonio, play New Zealand in San Francisco seven days later and wrap things up in Columbus on Oct. 30.
Here is the full U.S. roster:
GOALKEEPERS: Nicole Barnhart (FC Kansas City), Adrianna Franch (WNY Flash), Jill Loyden (Sky Blue FC), Hope Solo (Seattle Reign FC)
DEFENDERS: Rachel Buehler (Portland Thorns FC), Stephanie Cox (Seattle Reign FC), Crystal Dunn (North Carolina), Whitney Engen (Tyresö), Meghan Klingenberg (Tyresö), Ali Krieger (Tyresö), Kristie Mewis (FC Kansas City), Christie Rampone (Sky Blue FC), Leigh Ann Robinson (FC Kansas City), Becky Sauerbrunn (FC Kansas City)

What do you think of this USWNT roster? Surprised by anyone’s inclusion/omission? Think the Americans will win all three of their upcoming friendlies?

this team is loaded! glad to see Alex Morgan is fit again. Should be a cake walk.
What’s the word on Kelly O’Hara’s recovery? Disappointed that she won’t be part of the camp.
Yeah. O’Hara is the most obvious omission, but obvious because of injury.
Will be interesting to see if Yael and Tobin get on the field together. Those two are buddies.
The USWNT are like unbeatable, they loaded from keeper to striker.
Where’s Morgan Brian?
nevermind
Wow, that is a strong lineup. I would hate to whittle that down.
Gotta get my tickets for sure.
Needs more players from FC Kansas City
+1
That group of forwards is ridiculous!
Any team in the world would love to have just one of these forwards…the USWNT have 4 superstars
Was thinking the same thing!
