On Wednesday afternoon, Manchester United will look to take control of UEFA Champions League Group A when they host Real Sociedad.
David Moyes’ side dropped two points at home last Saturday and they could only work out a 1-1 draw on the road at Shakhtar Donetsk the last time they played a Champions League match. This game comes maybe a week too late for Man United as La Real won their first game in eight matches in all competitions after a a troubling start to the season.
Elsewhere in Europe, Manchester City visit CSKA Moscow, Juventus travel to face Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich host Viktoria Plzen.
In the evening, the CONCACAF Champions League takes center stage with Sporting KC hosting Olimpia and the San Jose Earthquakes hosting Heredia, while Real Salt Lake play their regular season home finale against Chivas USA.

More embarrassing: Vidal’s demand for a penalty after a foul by the turf at the Bernabeu or Benzema’s performance in general?
Tough, tough call.
Manc U’s performance against an average La Liga team.
Zlatan today, goodness
So close from Valencia!
United fans cannot feel good about this performance. Real Sociedad are in 12th place in La Liga and they’re going toe-to-toe with United right now… have hit the woodwork twice too!
What?!!! ManU sits 8th in the EPL. A 1-0 game is about what it should be.
Sacha about the only Anderlect player that looks like he belongs on the pitch against PSG. Very impressed with how composed he is playing today under a ton of pressure from the PSG mids and forwards. He had one give-away on what looked to be a foul that wasn’t called, other than that he has looked very good. Relieving pressure, quick decisions, accurate passing and has started the attack a few times. Not much they could do against Ibra’s hat trick, 2 of those goals were amazing.
He needs to shave that thing.
But that’s where his powers come from.
+1
I think Sacha’s in an interesting situation at Anderlecht.
He falls into the category of player that’s too good to bench (i.e. better than most of his teammates / not the team’s weak link), but he’s not at the level to command a move to a better squad.
Wow. This referee. Painful.
Ibra with the brace. Can he and Cavani play together? 2 of the worlds best strikers and yet they don’t score when playing with 1 another.
???
That’s the kind of acting and shameful behavior I expect from a Mexican national team player.
LOL drama queen.
That should not count. My god that’s one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever seen in a professional game.
What are you talking about?
That awful, awful own goal. That was comical.
Well, Man City won. The pitch was indeed in horrible shape. They actually had to spray paint it before the game. http://www.sports.ru/tribuna/blogs/televizor3/523091.html?utm_source=online&utm_medium=tgb&utm_campaign=rcm
Actually, after all the media coverage, I expected the pitch to be much worse. And while the pitch was an eye-sore, the players did not appear to be slipping and falling like they were at Chelsea vs. Schalke game.
They should play in Saprissa before complaining about field conditions.
Kljestan and Anderlecht are going to get crushed by Lavezzi Cavani and Ibra.
Hernandez vs. Vela in the Champions today. Interesting. As bad as the Mexican National Team is playing these are the two best offensive players they have and starting today against each other in the Champions League.
El tri haven’t “had” Vela for over a year and did you see that terrible miss by Hernandez vs Costa Rica? Yeah he’s sucking right now.Not Man Utd quality at all.
Said this on the wrong thread. But I wish ESPN had the rights, you get to watch all their games FREE on ESPN3. I need that
Firstrowsports.eu
Yea its a good site. Just kinda worried about the type of pop ups that happen on that site while at work
If you use Google Chrome and enable their pop up and ad blocker there are no ads on first row. You could give that a shot.
ahh thanks man, that’s a good tip. ill give it a try
when the hell is fox sports 2 gonna be hd?
My thoughts exactly. But fox soccer’s,or sports now, production value and effort have always been half assed and as minimal as possible. Really, I mean compared to NBC, they should be ashamed. They should just embrace their rebublican nature and exclusively cover “real” American sports and spare us soccer fans the grief.
remember that time when Fox thought Man Utd v. Real Sociedad was bigger than Real Madrid v. Juve?
seriously? why?
Bc manu is on fox soccer 1 and mr and juve are in fix soccer 2 which doesn’t have HD
I have direct tv and my FS2 channel is in hd.
Do any Americans follow any team outside the EPL?
i don’t ‘follow’ any of those teams, but i’d sure as hell rather see madrid v. juve than manu v. sociedad.
haha seriously. based on the coverage over the years, you would think Americans only watch Man United games.
Juventus vs Real Madrid tonight
O/T don’t forget American Horror Story : Coven is also on tonight
