With a place in the postseason already confirmed, it would have been easy for the New York Red Bulls to take it easy on the road at the Houston Dynamo.
Instead, thanks to a fast start from Tim Cahill’s goal seven seconds into the game, the Red Bulls showed that they are a team to be reckoned with in the MLS Cup playoffs, defeating the Dynamo, 3-0, at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Red Bulls’ performance on Sunday made them our choice for SBI MLS Team of the Week.
The Red Bulls beat out the Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, and the New England Revolution for this week’s honors.
