Julian Green’s successful season with Bayern Munich’s reserves has been rewarded.

After scoring 15 goals in 18 games with the German giants’ second team, Green has been called up to Bayern’s squad for their Wednesday UEFA Champions League group game at CSKA Moscow. Green is replacing injured striker Mario Mandzukic on the roster for the Group D encounter and could be handed his Bayern debut by head coach Pep Guardiola despite not playing in a league match yet.

The 18-year-old Green, a dual-national who can play for either the U.S. Men’s National Team or Germany, recently signed his first professional contract with Munich. The deal ends in 2017.

What do you think of Green being included in Bayern’s Champions League squad vs. CSKA Moscow? Think there is any chance he gets on the field?
