Heading into the final week of the Liga MX Apertura season, Club Tijuana still have a chance to make the Liguilla, or playoffs.
Xolos face a Club Leon side that while normally strong, has been weakened by Mexico National Team call-ups that include starters Rafa Marquez and Luis Montes. It gives Jorge Almiron’s side some hope, that despite going on the road, their squad can find a goal or two and pull off an upset.
Even if Xolos win, they’ll need results to go their way in order to make it into the playoffs. Queretaro, who face Pachuca on the road, need to lose, as well as Morelia needing to drop points against Morelia and Tigres UANL failing to win against Atlas. Elsewhere in Liga MX, Club America host Toluca and Monterrey host Chivas Guadalajara.
