There’s a top of the table clash on tap this weekend in the English Premier League as first-place Arsenal take on a rampant Liverpool. Despite Arsenal’s recent success over Liverpool (just one loss in the last twelve meetings), the Gunners have won just twice against the Reds in their last seven home matches since moving to the Emirates in 2006. Brendan Rodgers’ side will be looking to Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge who have scored six goals in four BPL matches and eight in Liverpool’s last nine games respectively.
Over in Germany, Bayern Munich are looking to tie Hamburger SV’s 36 games unbeaten streak in the Budesliga. A record that has stood since the 1982-1983 season. A win or a tie for the current Champions League holders (29-6-0) against Hoffenheim would see the Bavarians equal that feat.
In Spain, Barcelona take on cross-town rivals Espanyol while in Italy, AS Roma look to continue their ten-game winning start to the season with a trip to Torino. In the United States, the MLS Conference Semifinals of the playoffs get underway with the New York Red Bulls visiting the Houston Dynamo and the Seattle Sounders facing Cascadia Cup rivals Portland Timbers.

Slightly off-topic, but the Brazil U-17 Squad has a forward named “Mosquito” on it. Just thought that was funny. Carry on.
They do have some great names.
Actually the Soccer Bowl is next Saturday but he same 2 teams meet this weekend to end the fall season that the Cosmos have already clinched
The “Dress Rehearsal Bowl,” so to speak.
You missed the NASL Soccer Bowl which will be on ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes at 7:30PM Saturday.
Kind of out of no where, but anyone know whats up with Sebastien Lletget?
Somebody had reported that Jack Collison was going to be loaned out so that could possibly open up the door for Lletget to get a place back in the 1st team.
Worth noting though that Jack Collison played pretty well in the last cup match for West Ham.
Sorry to be That Guy, but It’s *Brendan* Rodgers,
wow nice breakdown. spicy
