Terrence Boyd got Rapid Vienna off to a dream start in their must-win UEFA Europa League group stage finale, but it still was not enough for the club to avoid an early exit.
Needing a win over Dynamo Kiev to advance out of Group G, Rapid Vienna suffered elimination after losing 3-1 to the Ukrainian club on Thursday. Boyd scored in the sixth minute to give Vienna a 1-0 lead on the road, but Kiev responded with two first-half goals before sealing the Austrian outfit’s fate with a third in the closing 45 minutes.
For Boyd, his close-range goal sees him end his time in this season’s Europa League with five goals. He has 12 goals across all competitions.

Intelligent movement and good finish. Hope he keeps improving!
Good goal scorers goal.. Didn’t drift offside and finished well.. Should be fun to watch him develop further.
Boyd needs to start some friendlies with USNT!
well, good for Boyd. as long as he continues his strong form, i think there is no question he will move on to a bigger club.
