From Europe to Mexico to South America, this weekend has no shortage of mouthwatering matchups.
Starting in England, the weekend kicks off as first-place Arsenal visits Manchester City in a top-of-the table clash in the English Premier League. Man City is coming off a morale-boosting 3-2 victory at Bayern Munich on Tuesday and holds a 100 percent record at home in the league, including 7-0 and 6-0 victories over Norwich City and Tottenham, respectively.
In Italy, Inter Milan head coach Walter Mazzari faces his former club Napoli for the first time since moving to the San Siro this past summer. Mazzari has guided Inter back into UEFA Champions League contention so far but he faces a Napoli side that is strong if not stronger than last season and is currently one place above Inter in the Serie A table. In La Liga, leaders Barcelona took Scottish champions Celtic to task on Wednesday and faces a weakened Villarreal side on Saturday.
Finally, in Mexico and Argentina, the final weekend of league matches in the Apertura and Torneo Inicial seasons conclude on Sunday. Club America hosts Club Leon in the second leg of the Liga MX playoffs final, and Argentine leaders San Lorenzo visit Velez Sarsfield knowing that they can secure the title with three points.

Brooks was taken out in the 37th minute. Anyone know if he was injured?
The Gamecast didn’t specify an injury, and it occurred 5 minutes after Wolfsburg scored their 2nd goal of the game. Hmmmm
In the second half of the commentary I was reading, it read that the substitution was presumably due to injury.
And Hertha is playing Werder Bremen not Wolfsburg.
College bowl forecast 32 degrees and dropping today. Sunday a balmy 38.
Still thinking about going to the final though
Cold Cup finals are so hot right now
Here’s to Jozy hopefully starting up top alongside Fletcher again and getting more than 1 chance to score (although he played more in the false 9/deep lying striker role last weekend).
What about Nantes in Ligue 1 on Saturday???
AS Roma vs AC Milan Monday????
That Man City game is to damn early.. 6:45am in the midwest. You would think that EPL would want to have the game later in the evening to capitalize on both the English and American markets.
And disregard Asia?
yes
Ever heard of DVR?
There is also the NCAA men’s College Cup finals on ESPNU on Sunday 3PM.
Go Lobo’s!
Lobos
When is the NCAA Final – Monday? or next week?
pretty good tournament this year.. im picking Maryland over ND.
