Major League Soccer’s pre-season kicks off today, as the first of the league’s 19 teams begin to report for the start of a new campaign, meaning an end to the ever-shrinking MLS off-season.

On Episode 107 of The SBI Show we discuss the return of MLS, as well as looking back at the 2014 MLS Draft. We break down the most impressive, and least impressive, draft day hauls.

Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I also discuss topics ranging from Americans Abroad to the need for more personalities in American soccer. We also answer your questions in the latest SBI Show Q&A.

What did you think of the show? Agree that American soccer needs more personalities, or think the sport is better off without outspoken players? Which team’s draft were you impressed with? What was your take on Altidore’s performance vs. Manchester United?

  1. Hey guys, just want to let you know, or check to see if anyone else is experiencing what I have the past 2 or 3 episodes, where it cuts off early. The bulk of the show plays, but whether it’s on the website or Soundcloud, it cuts off and will not allow you to skip ahead to finish it. This show in particular cut off the last 10 or so minutes during the Q & A.

What I was able to listen to, I enjoyed as usual, but just thought I’d make you aware of this concern, or at least see if it was only on my end. Thanks for all of the work you put into these podcast, fellas…
