After the top three clubs in the English Premier League each recorded a win on Saturday, all eyes will be on fourth-place Liverpool on Sunday as they look to stay in the thick of the title race.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will welcome former team Swansea City, who are currently managed by former player Gerry Monk, to historic Anfield on Sunday. The Reds have not taken the field since last week’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal in FA Cup action, and they will now set their sights on a league win against a 12th-place Swansea side coming off a scoreless Europa League draw against Napoli.
In other EPL action on Sunday, Newcastle United will try to end a three-match losing streak — one that has seen opponents outscore Newcastle 10-0 — against American goalkeeper Brad Guzan and relegation-threatened Aston Villa. The weekend’s action wraps up at Norwich, where fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur will take on the Canaries.
Elsewhere, the Turin Derby takes center stage in Italy as first-place Juventus host Torino as the defending champions look to continue their long unbeaten streak in Serie A play. Bayern Munich travel to Hannover 96 in Bundesliga action, while Atletico Madrid will try to jump Barcelona and maintain pace with rivals Real Madrid with a win against Osasuna.

Atletico Madrid losing 3-0 in the first half. Madrid in first place. It’s a good day
Bayern resting a few but finally take over leading 2-0 first half over Hannover. The Mayor of Hannover not in the 18.
Almost a 20 point lead now in the league
That’s insane. I wonder what the record for is biggest difference between first and second by season’s end in the Bundesliga, or even the BPL or Spain… This Bayern squad is just mean.
another hat-trick for Zlatan. He owns France. He needs to move to Arsenal or to Dortmund or just come to MLS in 2016
Game was progressing so nicely until that poor display of sportsmanship.
Just the three goals for ibra today.
Skrtl mauls Wilfried from behind to give up penalty. Why didn’t he trust Agger to do his job?
Liverpool v. Swansea just keeps giving. Beautifully weighted by ball by Mr. Bitey to Sturridge for the snap header.

ENGLAND got
Estonia —

GROUP H

Croatia
GROUP I
Portugal
Albania
Armenia
Serbia
Denmark
France
At the end of the day, aren’t most UEFA qualifying groups, one seeded contender, one team who is up and down and 3-4 who are space filler?
In England’s group, you have England, Slovenia and the Swiss. I have a hard time believing that the Swiss are really all that tough.
In Italy’s gorup you have Croatia and Norway. Bulgaria, depending on whether they show up, may be tough at home
the Portugal group is the exception to the rule
And just watch England struggle with that group
